U.S. Sen. Scott Brown and Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren will  debate at the Tsongas Campus on the UMass-Lowell campus Sept. 27. The event is co-sponsored by UMass-Lowell and Boston Herald.

NBC "Meet the Press" anchor David Gregory will be the moderator and UMass-Lowell students will be the audience. The debate will be offered to all local TV outlets and to cable and network stations. It will also be on radio and on the web.

Warren agreed to the one-hour debate first Thursday, followed by Brown signing on last night.
