Dover Police Log: Marked Lanes Violations Going Door-to-Door
The following information was provided by the Dover Police Department. When an arrest is mentioned there is no indication of a conviction.
Thursday, October 18
Motor Vehicle Stop (10:53 a.m.) - A verbal warning was issued to a motorist for marked lanes violations on Pleasant St. The vehicle had driven up 3-4 driveways, so the officer inquired as to the operator's purpose for doing so. The driver was a Jehovah's Witness and was going door-to-door. The officer requested that the parties check in at the police station when they are in the area going door-to-door.
Cat (5:23 p.m.) - A caller from Walpole St. reports that there is an orange cat in her backyard. She says the cat doesn't have tags on it. The Animal Control Officer was contacted.

The officer requesting that Jehovah's Witnesses check in at the police station before going door to door needs to be very careful. Constitutional law allows for freedom of worship without censorship or permission. Although the advice was no doubt given with the right motive in mind, it is in violation of the first Amendments freedom of religion to REQUIRE checking in with police prior to sharing your faith with others.

The JWs should be thankful that in DOVER all someone who has been violating traffic laws has to do to keep the Police from writing the ticket is to identify themselves as a JW out selling WATCHTOWERS door-to-door. If that traffic violator had been an insurance salesman, or the like, he would have been paying a traffic fine.

Jehovahs Witnesses who are they?
A) They are at your door to recruit you for their watchtower society corporation,they will say that *we are just here to share a message from the Bible*... this is deception right off.
B) Their *message* creed is a false Gospel that Jesus had his second coming in 1914.The problem with this is it's not just a cute fairy tale,Jesus warned of the false prophets who would claim *..look he is here in the wilderness,or see here he is at the temple*.
C) Their anti-blood transfusion ban against *whole blood* has killed thousands.
D) once they recruit you they will *love bomb* you in cult fashion to also recruit your family & friends or cut them off.

Jehovah's Witnesses have a sales subterfuge where they do *ask for donations* when *dispensing* literature this is a round-about-way of selling.
They don't have to register with the town and get a solicitation permit that's the deal with Jehovah's Witnesses.
A man/woman home is their castle,and trespassing after notice not to enter becomes defiant trespassing and is another matter.

May I inject a dose of reality here? JW's may occasionally ask for a donation but it's not a requirement and frankly, most of us don't even remember to ask! We aren't *selling* magazines, there's no profit involved. After all, how much money am I going to make filling up my car at $4 or so a gallon, driving from one area to the next, using my morning or afternoon off from my full time job to voluntarily visit people in their homes to discuss the Bible? That's right - zero, zip, nada.
Sometimes an appreciative person (and despite what you may think there are many, many people who enjoy our visits; you just don't happen to be one of them) will make a voluntary donation which we apply towards our worldwide preaching work. As for not getting a permit, please don't think of it as a "get-around" to some lucrative sales scheme. Not only do I find the idea amusing, but it is also the last thing we have on our minds. We are following the admonition given by Christ at Matthew 24:14 to preach the good news of the Kingdom and THAT is our focus. A lot of people wonder "what is the world coming to". We show them answers from the Bible.
As for your comment about "no trespassing" -- I would say that overall we try our best to respect "No trespassing" signs and the like but there are times when we simply don't notice them or perhaps someone doesn't exercise good judgment. After all, it would hardly be in the interest of neighborliness to deliberately ignore the homeowner's wishes.

Uninvited confrontational talk about your beliefs doesn't work like it used to.
Jehovah's Witnesses DO ask for money (donations) and everybody knows it.They ask me nearly every time.
No problem there ...except to deny it creates a trust issue,The reason Jehovah's Witnesses call 'to encourage bible reading' is also deceptive.You are there to recruit disciples plain and simple

On November 13, 2006, an African-American male and a Caucasian male, both in their mid-20s, knocked on the door of a home in Port Charlotte, Florida. Reportedly carrying Bibles, the two males identified themselves as "Jehovah's Witnesses" to the responding male homeowner. The two "JWs" reportedly were allowed to enter the home -- probably at their request, but possibly at the homeowner's invitation. After a brief exchange of conversation, the homeowner stated that he was not interested, and the "JWs" left. Shortly thereafter, the homeowner was startled by the sound of breaking glass at the rear of his house. When he went to see what had happened, he was accosted and struck by the African-American "JW". The now three home-invaders used a stun gun to subdue the homeowner. After tying him up, the Trio ransacked the home, before eventually leaving with roughly $4000.00 in cash and electronics. The Trio were eventually arrested for that home invasion robbery, and similar crimes, and were identified as members of a local area gang that specialized in home invasions. Those same three members of the gang reportedly had been repeatedly "casing" multiple homes as potential targets by using the ruse that they were "Jehovah's Witnesses".
Google "DOOR-KNOCKING THIEVES, RAPISTS, and MURDERERS to read numerous more instances of homeowners being robbed, raped, and murdered by "Jehovah's Witnesses".
