1. Dover-Sherborn Public Schools have CANCELLED the first day of school today due to the road conditions. We will keep you updated as to when the school year will begin.
2. In Dover today, the Dover Parks and Recreation will meet at the Caryl Community Center Library at 7:30 a.m. The meeting agenda can be found HERE. The Personnel Board will meet at 6:00 p.m. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room at the Dover Town House.
3. In Sherborn today, the Sherborn Town Assessors will meet at the Sherborn Town Hall tonight at 6:45 p.m. The agenda can be found HERE.
4. The Dover Town Library is once again teaming up with Powisset Farm this summer for tonight's special movie, Queen of the Sun: What Are the Bees Telling Us? (hosted by Jessica Watson, beekeeper). This film examines the dire global bee crisis through the eyes of biodynamic beekeepers, scientists, farmers, and philosophers. On a pilgrimage around the world, the film unveils 10,000 years of beekeeping, highlighting how our historic and sacred relationship with bees has been lost due to highly mechanized industrial practices. This film will begin at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a 15 to 30 minute group discussion.
5. The Good as New Shop (GANS), at the Unitarian Universalist Area Church at First Parish, is open for business today from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This consignment shop offers "good as new" quality items which includes antiques, collectibles, toys, games, books, clothing, seasonal items, small appliances and so much more.
