Grab & Go Kids Planner: Jan. 27-29

Playgroups, Theater and crafts are on the agenda for this weekend.

 
  • The Gymnastic Academy of Boston in Norwood will hold a Mom's Play Group on Fri., Jan. 27 at 9:15 a.m. Meet moms while your child gets to run, jump and play with other children. Bring a snack for your child to enjoy while you enjoy a cup of free coffee after gym time is over. No registration is required. Admission $5.00.
  • Open Fields Community Theatre will perform the family classical tale 'The Wizard of Oz' at the Lindquist Commons at Dover-Sherborn High School. Performances will be held on Fri., Jan. 27 and Sat., Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee show on Sat., Jan. 28 at 2:00 p.m.  Admission is $20.00 per person and can be purchased HERE.
  • Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary will hold a Craft Drop-in Program on Sat., Jan. 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Stop by the Nature Center and make your own craft from recycled/reused materials! No registration is Required. Stony Brook is located at 108 North St. in Norfolk. .  For more information, call (508) 528-3140.  Admission is $1.
  • Mass Audubon’s Moose Hill, located at 293 Moose Hill St. in Sharon, invites the family to a Join Patti Austin for a free on-the-trail interpretive walk on Sun., Jan. 29 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Have your nature questions answered during your Sunday Saunter walk. This program is suitable for children ages 7 - 16 yrs. Walks are cancelled in inclement weather, call prior to attending if the weather is questionable. Admission is free.
  • Sherborn Library, located at 4 Sanger St., in Sherborn, will host an Open House at the Library from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. featuring an afternoon filled with events that the whole family can enjoy. In addition to enjoying warm beverages and snacks activities will include: Big Joe the Storyteller at 1:00 p.m.; an Update on the Library renovation plans at 2:00 p.m.; Pine Hill School Chorus will perform at 2:20 p.m.; from 2:30 pm until 4pm, children and parents can participate in “Read and Romp,” three storybook-themed stations with childrens’ activities; visit the live bunnies at the Runaway Bunny station. Admission is free.
