Sherborn Updates from the Polls
There are 3,036 registered voters in Sherborn. This election, over 400 are absentee ballots. Sherborn people always come out to vote traditionally. Typically they get 92-93% of registered voters to cast a ballot, which makes them one of the tops in the state.
More than 800 people voted in Sherborn by 11:!5 a.m., and that is expected to continue throughout the day.
Scott Brown (R), Elizabeth Warren (D): U.S. Senate
Scott Brown has represented Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate since a January 2010 special election held to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by the late Ted Kennedy. Brown defeated state Attorney General Martha Coakley with 1,168,107 votes, or 51.9 percent, to her 1,058,682 votes, or 47.1 percent.
Edward Markey (D), Tom Tierney (R): Fifth Congressional District
Markey is seeking re-election.
Robert Jubinville (D), Earl Sholley (R): Second District Councillor
David Linsky (D), William Callahan (R): Fifth Middlesex District Representative in General Court
Linsky is running for re-election.
