Public Hearing about 2 Town Meeting Articles for Rail Trail and Bicycle safety

The Friends of the Needham Rail Trail Greenway will hold an informational hearing about 2 articles that will occur on the October 29 Special Town Meeting
The evening will have an overview slide presentation about the proposed rail trail from 
-- Newton to Needham Heights -- North section, 1.3 miles
-- Needham Junction to Dover -- South section, 1.9 miles
-- How to connect the 2.75 miles between the north and south sections with bike lanes & along Rosemary Lake
-- Efforts to create a bicycle plan for the town

Local Bicycle and Rail Trail leaders from other towns, such as Newton, Brookline, Boston, Somerville and Arlington will tell of the steps they followed to successfully implement bike lanes and rail trail projects in their towns.
The event is open to everyone, with a special welcome to town meeting members.
