Today in Dover-Sherborn: Opening Grandly, Bad Girls, and More!

Five things you need to know for Dover, Sherborn and Needham on Sept 19, 2013.

1. Today is set to be sunny and tonight, clear, once again. TheNational Weather Service is predicting highs of 78ºF and lows of 50ºF. 

2. That was a spicy meatball! From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Roche Bros is celebrating local foods. Their Made in Massachusetts series returns today with a demo by Diluigi Italian Sausage in their store

3. The new Mariott Hotel in Needham is welcoming guests--or anyone--for a grand opening ceremony at about 4 p.m. today, with a ribbon cutting, live music and raffles. They are now located on B Street in Needham. 

4. Sherborn native Deborah Doucette is coming to talk about her new book "Bad Girls" at the library. Her novel is a tale of three women bound together by the mystery of another young woman's death. The Sherborn Library hosts her at 7 p.m. tonight.

5. Get a whiff of some fresh herbs, and perhaps you have infused this moment with them. However, head to the Mass Horticultural Society's class tonight at 7 p.m., and you can learn more about infusing your life with them. Learn how to make herb vinegar, herb butter, herb paste, and herb salts and sugars. Entry is $15, or $10 for MassHort members.
