Today in Dover-Sherborn: Transforming Meals, Girl Scouting, and More!

Five things you need to know about Needham, Dover and Sherborn on Sept 25, 2013.

1. Today is looking pretty warm, 70ºF highs, says the National Weather Service. A sunny day, with a partly cloudy evening and a low of 46ºF

2. Girls who are interested in scouting can stop by the Sherborn Public Library on Wednesday to sign up. Starting at 6 p.m., or check out the Needham Girl Scouts Fall sign-up at the Historical Society. There is a $25 membership fee for the 2013-14 school year.

3. It's like the "Antiques Roadshow" rolled into town, only with fewer cameras. The Law Office of William J. Brisk is hosting an antiques appraisal event at the Residences at Wingate on Highland Avenue in Needham. Peter Yvanovich, a senior professional appraiser, is coming by at 6 p.m. to share the secret of what makes old things valuable. They will even appraise a couple of things for you, just no coins, stamps or firearms.

4. There is a little more to weight loss than counting calories. If you want a few more pointers on shedding those stubborn inches (I know I do), the Dover Town Library is the place to be, 7 p.m. tonight. Health & Wellness Coach Rose DiBartolo wants to help you transform your relationship with food.

5. When teens move into high school, there are a few changes. If you want to help them with those changes, you may want to speak with Sarah Ward, a nationally recognized innovator in Executive Function strategies for children and adolescent. She's coming to the Dover-Sherborn High School today at 7 p.m.
