Five Things: Girls' Tennis State Tourney, Brewfest and Electronics/Appliances Recycling Fundraiser

1. In Sherborn this morning, the Personnel Board will hold a meeting at the at 10:00 a.m.

The Sherborn Business Association will host their Summer Brewfest at the from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The Brewfest features samples from many of the area’s leading microbreweries and well known larger boutique breweries. Live music will be provided “Back Pages”. In addition to many unique boutique beers, the Inn’s kitchen staff will provide German cuisine such as knockwurst, bratwurst, “pulled” sauerbraten sandwich, Bavarian chicken on a Kaiser roll, spaetzle, German potato salad and sauerkraut. Tickets can be purchased from local merchants including Rose’s Automotive, the Sherborn Inn, Sherborn Wine & Spirits, Sherborn Market (Citgo) and Walgreens. Tickets are $25 if purchased in advance or $30 if purchased at the event.

3. The girls' tennis team will play Norwell in the first round of the Division 2 South Tournament in Norwell.

4. invites parents to join Mrs. Barry at 9:00 a.m. for a brief demonstration on SmartMusic, an interactive practice software program that all 4th and 5th grade band members will be using during the instrumental program for the 2012-13 school year.

5. will hold an Electronics and Appliance Recycle Fundraiser Day tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Now is the perfect time to make room in your home by turning in all your unwanted electronics such as: monitors, computers, scanners, copiers, etc for $5 each. Appliances such as: dishwashers, dryers, stoves, microwaves, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, AC's, exercise equipment, lawn mowers, small engine items, snow blowers, etc...$10 each. TV's less than 19"..$12, TV bigger than 19"..$15, TV's over 27"/ Console/Wood...$20, projection TV..$25.
