Five Things: School Concert, Library Events and Senior Lunch

Five Things You Need To Know About Today is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance. Check back later for more, and let us know what you think of the feature in the comments section.

1. The Dover-Sherborn High School band will perform thier Spring Concert in the Mudge Auditorium from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

2. There will be a preseason field hockey meeting for 8th graders who will be trying out for field hockey in 9th grade this fall in the D-S Middle School gym at 2:30 pm.

3. The Sherborn Council on Aging will hold a blood pressure clinic and drop-in lunch for seniors at the at 12:00 p.m. Lunch will include a Special Musical Performance by the Sherborn Music Makers. Seniors are invited to enjoy a nostalgic spring concert, featuring the songs of Johnny Mercer, Arlen and Mercer and Irving Berlin. Enjoy those tunes that turn your thoughts to those summer months like Those Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days of Summer, Under the Boardwalk and more. The suggested donation lunch is $2.00.

4. The will host two activities today:

  • The preschool fun program for children will run from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Bring your preschooler to the Community Room to have some fun with toys, instruments, and balls provided by the library. This is a free drop-in program and no registration is required.
  • Stop by for weekly tea from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Reading Room. All are invited to enjoy tea and refreshments.

5. The boys' varsity tennis team hosts Martha's Vineyard at 4:00 p.m. and the girls' varsity tennis team will play away at Medfield at 3:45 p.m.
