Great American Smokeout: Are You A Quitter?

Were you a smoker? Have you quit? Has smoking affected your life in some way? Share your story with us.

Today marks the 37th annual Great American Smokeout sponsored by the American Cancer Society.

According to the American Cancer Society's website, www.cancer.org, nearly one in every five adults in the United States is a smoker -- that's nearly 43.8 million Americans. That does not include another 15.4 million people who smoke cigars or tobacco in pipes.

The Great American Smokeout slogan is "Everyone loves quitters." What do you think? Share your thoughts and advice with the Patch community.

Do you smoke and want to quit? Here are some ACS resources for you.

Have you smoked in the past and have quit? How and why did you quit?

Do you smoke and don't want to quit? What do you think about the Smokeout?
