Pet of the Week: Meet Dundee

Today's pet of the week is a kitty named Dundee.

Dundee showed up at the home of a cat lover and rescuer last winter looking cold and hungry and clearly in need of help. His rescuer took on the responsibility of not only making sure he had plenty to eat, but also had him neutered, vaccinated to protect him from rabies and has been using flea and tick preventative on him.  Thanks to her care and attention Dundee has become a very affectionate kitty. He 'talks' incessantly, loves to be petted and desperately wanted to come in her house, but her two house cats would not allow it. He arrived at the Shelter on November 8th and is getting used to being inside where he doesn't always have to worry about predators, cars and other hazards of outdoor life. Right now he doesn't enjoy being picked up, but we think that will change once he is inside for a while. He is enjoying his warm and cozy bed and is settling in nicely.  Needless to say he is extremely handsome and will make some orange tabby fan a great pet!  To apply for a cat or kitten, please fill out our Cat and Kitten Adoption Application.
