Pet of the Week: Meet Thumper

This week's pet of the week is a pooch named Thumper.

Whippet mix? With maybe a tiny bit of Pitbull? Your guess is as good as ours. What we do know is that this happy girl got her name from her constant tail wagging. She's happy, enthusiastic, good in the car and nicely mannered. She is very thin and her coat reflects the fact that she hasn't enough food, but that should be easy to fix with regular meals and some fish oil in her food. She's active, bouncy, playful and interested in new things and people. She appears to be young (we are guessing 7 or 8 months old), and will be available after she is spayed and updated on her vet care. Although she looks large in these photos, she only weighs about 20 lbs. and will probably not get much bigger. She seems to love other dogs, toys, balls, going for walks, and running and leaping in our fenced area. She is quite a cutie and will make a great pet for anyone interested in owning a young and active dog.  Please e-mail medfieldshelter@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting Thumper.
