Music, butterflies and trivia on the calendar this weekend.

The weekend is just around the corner. If the only plans you have is not to stay home because lounging on the couch and watching TV just isn't cutting it anymore, then don't worry, D-S Patch is here to assist you! Check out our list of suggestions of events to attend, places to go, sites to see – all within driving distance of home. 

1. Lisa Bastoni To Perform at Perks Coffeehouse

Where/When: Perks Coffeehouse, 685 Washington St., Norwood; Fri., Feb. 24, 8 p.m.

Why Go:  Join friends and neighbors at Perks Coffeehouse tonight at 8:00 p.m. for a special performance singer, guitarist and songwriter Lisa Bastoni.

2. Norwood Masonic Building Open House

Where/When: Norwood Masonic Lodge, 76 Day St., Norwood; Sat., Feb. 25, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Masonic Lodge of Norwood will host an open house. Members will be on hand to give tous and help visitors gain a better understanding of the fraternity, its history and why Freemasonry has been the common denominator of so many great men throughout our country's history. Perspective members as well as curious citizens are welcome to visit our historic building and learn more about Norwood Freemasons.

3. Medfield Library Presents: Irish Music with Kathleen Guilday & Laurel Martin

Kathleen Guilday, Harpist and Laurel Martin, Fiddle player will entertain the Medfield community with Irish music Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m. Come and listen to world class musicians entertain with music and stories about the music in the Dailey Room.

Where/When: Medfield Library, 468 Main St., Medfield; Sun. Feb. 26, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Pricing: Free, Open To All 

4.  Attracting Butterflies and Hummingbirds to Your Garden 

Where/When: Stony Brook, 108 North St., Norfolk; Sun., Feb. 26, 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Why Go:  Stony Brook will hold a workshop to help you identify adult butterflies and their larvae and what sort of plants you should place in your garden that will attract and welcome both hummingbirds and butterflies for the upcoming spring season.

5. Trivia Tyme at TGI Fridays

Where/When: TGI Fridays, 1345 Boston Turnpike Parkway, Norwood; Sun., Feb. 26, 8:00 p.m.

Why Go:  Hosted by DJ Nick, Trivia Tyme delivers an exciting, enjoyable, and professional trivia presentation for contestants to have a great time! Trivia Rounds Include: Wheel of Fortune, Picture Rounds, Current Events, Who/What Am I and Multiple Choice.  Prizes are awared to the top winning teams.
