Summer Concert Series 2012 Continues July 10

Dover will host five more performances up through Aug. 7.

Another summer of local music is on the way for residents of Dover and Sherborn.

Dover's annual Summer Concert Series took a breather last week after kicking off on Friday, June 22, and will do so this week as well for the July 4th holiday.

But the entertainment will resume next Tuesday, July 10, with a performance by the Something with Digby Band.

The free concerts will continue to be held at the Dover Town Common; all shows will run from 7-8 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

In the event of rain, the performacnes will be held inside to the upper portion of Dover Town Hall.

Dover Summer Concert Series 2012 Lineup:

  • Friday, June 22: Matt Roberts – Charismatic Comedy Magic Show (5:30 – 6:30 p.m.); Sponsored by the Dover Mother’s Association
  • Tuesday, July 10: Something with Digby Band
  • Tuesday, July 17: The Centre Streeters
  • Tuesday, July 24: The Nowhere Men
  • Tuesday, July 31: The Coco Banana Band & the Dover Dad’s BBQ at 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 7: Eddie’s Shoe Band

The fun will also take place in Sherborn on Wednesday, July 11, when the town kicks off its own annual summer concert series. 

Sponsored by the Sherborn Public Library, the concerts run from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and residents are encouraged to pack a picnic, bring a blanket and enjoy the sounds of local musicians on the library lawn.

  • Wednesday, July 18: Group Therapy
  • Wednesday, July 25: Something with Digby
  • Saturday, Aug. 4: Guys in Tuxes
