What's Open on Christmas Day?

See what's open and what's closed on Christmas Day.

On Christmas Day, some businesses are open, while others will be closed:

Here's a list:

Restaurants/bars: Some are open—call ahead. is open at 11 a.m.

Convenience stores: many are open, but may have special hours. is open on Christmas Day.

Supermarkets: closed

Retail stores: closed

Liquor stores: closed due to Massachusetts "Blue Laws"

Government offices (including local): All are closed including schools, libraries and the post office. No mail will be delivered. Only emergency services will be available.

Trash collection: delayed one day. Thursday's trash and recycling collection will be picked up on Friday and Friday's will be picked up on Saturday. One free bag of trash will be picked up this week.
