D-S School Bus Involved in Accident With Students Onboard

The bus was carrying high school and middle school students during the time of the accident Monday.

A D-S school bus that was carrying students was involved in a motor vehicle accident after school yesterday.

The bus, carrying high school and middle school students, was traveling inbound on Farm Street when a car exiting Wight Street struck the bus.

There were no injuries to any of the passengers on the bus or to either driver.

There was minimal damage to the bus and moderate damage to the car - no air bag was deployed, Dover Police Chief Peter McGowan said in an email.

The operator of the car was cited for failure to yield at an intersection.

The accident occurred at 2:28 p.m. Monday.
