Dover And Sherborn Clean Up After Irene While Waiting For NSTAR

There are still several without power from Irene.

Dover and Sherborn are both busy today cleaning up in the aftermath of .

Workers are clearing the debris from the dozens of downed trees and branches in both towns.

Both Dover and Sherborn are waiting for NSTAR repair crews to restore power in many homes. Several homes in both towns have been without power since early yesterday.

“We have the Highway Department outside cleaning up and we’re waiting on NSTAR for power,” said Dover Police Officer Ryan Menice.

There are NSTAR workers in Dover, but Menice said he was not sure when full crews will be in town. He said there are still several people without power.

"There's still a lot out," said Menice. “They have some contractors working but besides that I don’t know what time they’re actually going to have full crews in town working.”

Sherborn Police Officer Ben Stickney said they are also waiting for NSTAR to come and restore power.

Crews are currently working in town to clear the roads from debris.

According to Stickney, there are still several roads closed in town including Farm Road and Lake Street.
