Dover Police Log: Stranger Outside

The following information was provided by the Dover Police Department. When arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

Thursday, September 27

Stranger in Driveway (7:41 p.m.) - A resident of Hilltop Rd. called to report that there was an unknown person in their driveway when they left their house. The caller then went into their house and the unknown person started banging on the door and ringing the doorbell. They could not see if it was a male or female, but they were wearing a sweatshirt and carrying a flashlight. Officers checked the area and didn't find anyone. They also notified Westwood Police.

Burglar Alarm (7:51 p.m.) - An alarm company reports that there is an alarm on the first floor in a house on Wilsondale St. The motion detector had gone off. When an officer arrived he found that the homeowner had accidentally set it off.
