Five Things: Republican Gala, Live Music and Softball Doubleheader

Be sure to check here for useful information about what is going on in Dover and Sherborn this weekend.

1. The Dover Republican Town Committee will host its Spring Gala on Saturday, May 5, at the MIT Endicott House in Dedham at 7:00 p.m.The gala will include will cocktails, dinner and live music. Special guests will include Senator Scott Brown, Sean Bielat, Mary Z. Connaughton, Richard Ross and other Republican legislators.

2. The Sherborn Inn will feature the classic rock cover band "Brogue" on Saturday from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. There will be a $10 cover charge.

3. The Friends of Sherborn Library invites families to visit the Sherborn Community Center from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday to see live birds and learn about the Life Cycle of the Raptors with Windows of Wildife.The event is appropriate for ages 5 and older and is free and open to the public.

4. The D-S girls' varsity softball team will have a doubleheader on Sunday on the road against Nantucket. The first game will be at 1:00 p.m. and the second will begin at 3:00 p.m.

5. Take out your stretchy pants and yoga mats for yoga at Unity Hall at the Unitarian Universalist Area Church at First Parish in Sherborn on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
