Five Things You Need To Know About Today: April 1

1. Today is April 1 which means it's April Fool's Day! If you're looking for some family friendly pranks to play around the house today, our parenting columnist Heather Kempskie gives you 10 April Fool's Day pranks to spring on your loved ones.

2. At the Pine Hill Elementary School today fifth graders will have MCAS English Language Arts testing from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. today.

3. Today is the first day for applicants to sign up for the Instructional Sailing Program at the Sherborn Yacht Club for youths. You can download the application for the program here. For more information call Deb Barnet at 781-449-7701.

4. Two events for the kids will be going on at the Sherborn Library this morning. At 10:00 a.m. will be the Mother Goose Baby Lapsit for kids 2-years-old and younger which will include songs and games for the young ones. At 10:30 a.m. preschoolers ages 2 to 5 will have Storytime with crafts, stories, and songs. 

5. There will be an Executive Committee Meeting at the Charles River School today from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

*6. Today we have a special bonus sixth thing you need to know about today. In what many consider a holiday around New England, the Boston Red Sox will be playing their first game of the regular season today against the Texas Rangers starting at 4:05 p.m. Go Sox!!!!
