Five Things You Need To Know About Today: April 30

1. In Sherborn today, the Sherborn Conservation Commission, Sherborn Rural Land Foundation, Upper Charles Conservation Land Trust, Sherborn Forest & Trail Association and the Town Forest Committee will hold a public forum on Forestry Stewardship Planning for Sherborn at the at 7:00 p.m.  Discussions will include how the town manages and maintains the Barber Reservation and Hidden Meadow as well as how to take a town-wide approach to management of the town's open spaces.

2. The Pine Hill School CSA will hold a spring book fair fundraiser from April 30-May 2 at the school. Choose from a wide selection of both children's and adult titles. 20% of the proceeds will benefit CSA enrichment programs. The book fair will be held on: Monday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Wednesday: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

3. The will hold two events today.

  • A children's storytime about the circus will be held this afternoon from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • The nonfiction book group, led by Jeffrey Aubuchon, will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the living room on the main floor. Everyone is welcome. The book chosen for this month is "Islam: A Short History" by Karen Armstrong.

4. The boys' and girls' track team will host Holliston at 3:30 p.m.; the boys' baseball team and girls' softball team will travel to Millis for 3:45 p.m. game; the girls' tennis team will play at home against Millis at 3:45 p.m. and the girls' lacrosse team travels to Wayland for a 4:00 p.m. match.

5. Dover seniors are invited to stop by the  Fireside Room for an informal gathering from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to complete any unfinished craft projects.
