Five Things You Need To Know About Today: July 8

Be sure to check here daily for useful information about what is going on in Dover and Sherborn today.

1. The Dover Town Library Friday Flicks for Teens: will run from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

2. The Sherborn Library will hold a few activities today. A  for children will be held outside at 10:30 am. Be sure to bring a snack and a blanket to sit on.  This week's  will feature the film "Roary the Racing Car".  This FREE movie will begin at 2:30 p.m. and is open to all ages.

3.  Team will play against Hopkinton at Cassidy Field in Medway at 7:30 p.m.

4. Registration is now open for the 2011 Dover-Sherborn Triathlon.  The Dover-Sherborn Boosters have announced that the 7th annual Triathlon will be held on September 18, 2011. The race includes a 0.25 mile swim, 14.8 mile bike, and 3.4 mile run. The race will take you through the scenic roads of Dover and Sherborn past farms, rivers, and antique houses. The swim is in Farm Pond in Sherborn and the run finishes Olympic style on the new track at Dover-Sherborn High School. Registration and Information about this event can be found HERE

5. Frank Gallagher a senior at Dover-Sherborn High School will be hosting a carnival for 120 less fortunate elementary and middle school age kids at St. Dunstan's Church in Dover, MA. The event includes an all-day carnival including a BBQ lunch, giant water slides, a sno-cone machine, a dunk-tank, a magic show, volleyball, bracelet making, a music workshop, sack races, nail painting, and a petting zoo. The event takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
