Five Things: Chickering School Art Show, Concert and Book Sale Tonight

1. Today is an early release day for students at and . Students will be released at 12:00 p.m.

2. will host a student art night, concert and book sale from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. One piece of artwork created by each student K-5 will be displayed throughout the school from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. At the end of the evening, a concert featuring the Chickering 4th Grade Band, 5th Grade Jazz Band as well as the Chickering Strings & Chorus, will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Throughout the evening, the PTO will be sponsoring their first-ever "New to You Book Sale". The booksale will feature gently used paperbacks or hard cover children books for only $1.00 each.

3. The will host two events today:

  • The Senior Lunch Series continues this afternoon with lunch and live music from Golden Tones senior chorus. The luncheon costs $25 and will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Tonight is "Italian Night" at the Inn. $16.99 will get you a salad, entree and dessert.

  • Children of all ages are invited to stop by the library for story time from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  • Dover Council on Aging invites seniors to a Therapeutic Chi Gong class in the Community Room from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This class, led by Linda Bellifeuille, is a low impact exercise class meant to help to increase energy as well as improve balance and strength.

5. The  baseball and softball teams travel to Westwood to play at 3:45 p.m. The girls' and boys' varsity tennis teams also face Westwood today. The girls' team will play at home at 3:45 p.m. while the boys' team will face the Wolverines on the road at 3:45 p.m. game. The boys' lacrosse team will travel to Franklin to play at 6:45 p.m. The girls' lacrosse team hosts Medfield at 3:45 p.m.
