Five Things You Need to Know This Weekend: April 28-29

Be sure to check here for useful information about what is going on in Dover and Sherborn this weekend.

1. The will be hosting a variety of events this weekend as part of their centennial celebration. On Saturday family and alumni activities begin at 10:30 a.m. At 6:00 p.m. there will be a Gala Art Show (21+) which will include a dinner, dancing and an opportunity to mingle with fellow alumni. On Sunday, there will be a brunch and art show beginning at 10:00 a.m.

2. The D-S varsity coed sailing team will participate in two events this weekend. The JV Regatta will be held on Saturday, time to be determined. On Sunday, the team will compete in the Winchester Open.

3. The Dover-Sherborn Middle School Drama Program's production of Hercules will be performed on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at the Sherborn Community Center. The production will feature a cast of over 50 middle school students. General admission tickets ($10) are available at the Dover Cafe, Dover Market and Walgreens.

4. Take out your stretchy pants and yoga mats for yoga at Unity Hall at the Unitarian Universalist Area Church at First Parish in Sherborn on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

5. Ever think your kids could learn Chinese in Dover? The Dover Town Library is teaching Mandarin Chinese through music, songs, and games for kids of almost all ages! The program is free and no registration is required. There are two sessions on Saturday: 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 for kids ages 6-months to 4-years-olds; 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for 8-year-olds to 12-year-olds.
