Five Things You Need To Know This Weekend: August 13 and 14

Be sure to check here for useful information about what is going on in Dover and Sherborn this weekend.

1. This Saturday and Sunday is a in Massaschusetts. The state's 6.25 percent sales tax will be repealed for the weekend to give shoppers a break. The tax holiday will shelve the 6.25 percent levy on most items selling for less than $2,500.

2. School is closer than you think. Take the tax free weekend and get your student the supplies they need for the upcoming school year. Here is the supply list for the Middle School grades sixth, seventh, and eighth

3. On Powisset Farm this weekend you can get your hands dirty helping to plant, weed, and harvest as part of their Friends in the Fields on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

4. The Snappers Swim Team will be holding their awards ceremony on Sunday at the Sherborn Community Center from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

5. The D-S Boosters are beginning to speak with business sponsors for their 2011 triathlon. Business sponsors get exposure to over 1000 families from many surrounding towns and states.
