Five Things You Need To Know This Weekend: Jan. 7 and Jan. 8

Be sure to check here for useful information about what is going on in Dover and Sherborn this weekend.

1. The Charles River Troupe will be performing on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Charles River School.

2. There will be two basketball clinics held on Saturday. Varsity girls' head coach Heather Ernest will be teaching girls in grades 4 through 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the D-S Middle School. Boys' varsity head coach Rick Grady will be teaching teens at the high school. Boys in grades 5 and 6 will be from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and boys in grades 7 and 8 will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

3. The boys' varsity ice hockey team will play at Hopkinton High School on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The girls' varsity ice hockey team will be at home against King Philip at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, the boys' JV ice hockey team will be on the road against Medway at 6:10 p.m.

4. Take out your stretchy pants and yoga mats for yoga at Unity Hall at the Unitarian Universalist Area Church at First Parish in Sherborn on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

5. Ever think your kids could learn Chinese in Dover? The Dover Town Library is teaching Mandarin Chinese through music, songs, and games for kids of almost all ages! The program is free and no registration is required. There are two sessions on Saturday: 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 for kids ages 6-months to 4-years-olds; 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for 8-year-olds to 12-year-olds.
