Five Things You Need To Know This Weekend: Sept 24 and 25

Be sure to check here for useful information about what is going on in Dover and Sherborn this weekend.

1. The Trustees of Reservations will host its annual Fall Festival at Powisset Farm Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Celebrate the arrival of fall by listening to live music, paint a gourd, take a farm tour, and ride on a special bicycle-powered cider press. The Dog House will be selling hot food and drinks and Powisset's farm stand will be open with a variety of fresh produce available. Parking and admission are FREE!

2. The UUAC in Sherborn will be having a Giant Yard Sale on Saturday beginning at 9:00 a.m. The church, located on Washington St. will have hundreds of donated items including furniture, toys, jewelry, books, sporting goods and much more. There will also be baked goods and live music. Proceeds of the yard sale will go towards helping to build homes in New Orleans.

3. The Trustees of Reservations are inviting people to help with an invasive species removal project in the Noanet Woodlands, Rocky Woods, Peters Reservation, Rocky Narrows and other land maintained by the Trustees. The project will take place on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There is no experience required. For more information call 508-785-0039 or email charlesrivervalley@ttor.org

4. Take out your stretchy pants and yoga mats for yoga at Unity Hall at the Unitarian Universalist Area Church at First Parish in Sherborn on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

5. On Saturday there will be a meeting of the D-S Regional School Capital Planning Working Group at the Sherborn Town Hall at 7:30 a.m.
