Frugal Family: Books, Betterment and Sweets
As you settle into fall, treat yourself to some new books and an ice cream. Then, pop over to a free workshop just for you! Hit the Salvation Army store for a half off. If you have time to clean out your closet before you go, you can bring your donations.
1. Annual Fall Book Sale (new and used)

Hardcovers, trades, mass market paperbacks, large print, children’s and young adults, audio books, videos and music CDs will be available for purchase at the Annual Fall Book Sales. There is free admission to this sale, and a half price sale or $4/bag of books.
2. Free Women’s Workshop: “It’s Time for Change”

The Library is presenting a free two-hour workshop that will empower women of all ages to make crucial changes in their lives. Entitled “It’s Time for a Change,” this workshop will teach you how to rid yourself of guilt, take back your time and start to fully live your own life. Life Skills Facilitator Deb Titus will help participants discover where they want to make changes, identify choices, and develop a plan to make it happen.

4. The Sweeterie
Deal Time: Tuesday from noon-2pm and Wednesday 2-4pm

In addition to ice cream pies, ice cream sandwiches, cookies and brownies, The Sweeterie is offering two sweet deals. Join them on “Toddler Tuesdays” from 12pm-2pm where all kids under 5 years old get a kiddie size ice cream for $1. Bring your favorite senior citizens in Wednesday afternoon from 2pm-4pm for a small ice cream with one hot topping and a cup of coffee for $3.
