Get Out: Things To Do This Weekend Right Around The Corner

The weekend is just around the corner. If the only plans you have are not to stay home because lounging on the couch and watching TV just doesn't cut it anymore, then don't worry, Patch is here to assist you! Check out our list of suggestions.

Where/When: , 17 Elm St, Medfield; Saturday, May 14, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Medfield High School's Friends of Rachel club is setting up the Medfield Feel Good Festival for the town of Medfield to come and enjoy. It is run by Friends of Rachel, but all games, activities, and booths will be run by high school clubs and teams. Picnic lunches are encouraged. This is a family event, welcoming all ages. The event will be held at Wheelock soccer fields.

Where/When: , 88r South St, Medfield; Saturday, May 14, 7 p.m.

Why Go: The Medfield High School Band will hold their annual “Ye Olde Pops” Concert tonight in the MHS gym beginning at 7p.m.  This year's medieval performance will feature music from the high school's band, orchestra, choir as well as the jazz band and choir.  Refreshments will be sold to the audience before and during the concert!

Pricing: Free and open to all.

3. Dover Library Holds Zombie Prom

Where/When: , 56 Dedham St, Dover; Friday, May 13, 6 to 9 p.m.

Why Go: Come dressed in your zombie best! There will be music, food, a movie, and decorations all zombie themed. There will be a best zombie walk contest and the crowning of our Zombie King and Queen.

Pricing: Free and open to all tweens and teens.

Where/When: , 3 Sanger St, Sherborn; Saturday, May 14, 7 to 10:30 p.m.

Why Go: There will be a Battle of the Bands event tonight at the Sherborn Community Center starting at 7:00 pm.  Admission is $10.00.  Refreshments will be sold and part of the proceeds will go towards Japan relief.

Where/When: , 171 Nahatan St, Norwood; Friday, May 13, 5 to 11:30 p.m.

Why Go: Fernando Morales is a 16 year old sophomore soccer player at Norwood High, beginning a battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma. Come join us in a fundraising night to benefit Fernando’s fight.
