Grab & Go Kids Planner: Feb. 10- 12

Caribbean Dancing, Movies and Crafts are on the agenda for this weekend.

  • Sherborn Library will host Music, Movement and More Family Program with Pamela Pinter Parsons At the on Sat., Feb. 11 at 1:00 p.m. Leave the cold weather behind and bring the family to sing and dance to the sounds of the Caribbean Island. The Sherborn Community Center is located at 3 Sanger St. in Sherborn. No registration is required and admission is Free.
  • , located on Main St., in Medfield will hold a free Community Movie Night, featuring the film "Soul Surfer" on Sat., Feb. 11 at 7:00 p.m. "Soul Surfer", is a true story of teen surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost an arm in a shark attack and overcame all odds to become a champion again. Free popcorn and soda will be offered.  For those 5 and under there will be child care and a "Veggie Tale" movie.  Admission is Free.
  • Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary in Norfolk will hold a Family Tracking Program, Sat., Feb. 11 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 a.m. Join Education Coordinator, Marla Cohen and spend the morning searching for deer, coyote, fox, fisher, otter, mink, rabbit, and mice tracks.  This program is suited for children of the ages 5 to 16 with a parent.  Pre-registration is required for all programs. Stony Brook is located at 108 North St. in Norfolk.  Admission is: $12m/$15nm per adult/child pair. Additional children $6 each.
  • , located at 33 Walpole St., Norwood will hold a Valentines Crafts and Cards Program for Children on Sat. Feb. 11.  Children in grades K-5 are invited to drop in anytime between the hours of 9:00 am - 5:00 p.m. and create a Valentine's Day card or gift for someone special. The Library will supply craft materials and ideas for creative gift giving.
  • , located at 125 Lakeview St. in Sharon will hold a free Family Fun Day and Open House on Sat., Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m today.  This event is open to all, in the camp's 8,000 square foot heated lodge, and will include games, a magician, sports (including GaGa), arts and crafts, balloon animals, giveaways, a bouncy castle, snacks, drinks and tours by the camp directors. Visitors can even roast their own marshmallows and make s'mores around a camp fire. This event will be held in rain, snow or shine and admission is Free.
