Grab & Go Kids Planner: March 23 - 25

Pasta, Chinese & Star Gazing are on the agenda for this weekend.

  • , located at 66 Richland Rd., Norwood, will hold a Fifth Grade Pasta Supper on Fri., March 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  Fifth grade students will serve families pasta, meatballs and salad in the cafeteria.  Dinner is $5.00 per person.
  • Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys will play two concerts on Sat., March 24 at the , 340 Clapboardtree St. in Westwood. The award winning band will play at 9:30 a.m. and again at 11:00 a.m. to benefit St. John's Nursery School in Westwood. There will also be a silent auction and light refreshments for sale.   • The will hold an outdoors summer program fair on Sat., March 24 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. All are welcomed to stop by and learn about the programs and clinics that will take place over the summer. This fun filled family event will feature arts and crafts, face painting, Touch A Truck and more. No registration is required for this free event. In case of inclement weather the event will be moved inside the Civic Center.
  • will hold a Chinese language workshop for children in grades 2- 5 on Sat. March 24 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Chinese exchange teacher Miss Li and a MHS student who studies chinese, will teach children the language through games and activities.  Please register for this workshop by calling the library at 508-359-4544 x 8014 or visit www.medfieldlibrary.org.
  • The Mass Audubon’s Moose Hill, located at 293 Moose Hill St. in Sharon, will host a free drop in Star Gazing Program on Sun., March 25 from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.  Join local astronomers for a look at the stars and other night objects through big telescopes. Park in the Nature Center parking lot and follow the marked trail to the viewing field. Bring a flash light for the short, self-guided trail walk. Please note - This program will be cancelled if sky conditions are cloudy or in extreme snow/cold; call Patti Austin at 781-784-5691 x8103 after 6 pm for a recorded message concerning the status of the program prior to attending.  No registration is required and admission is free.
