Grab & Go Kids Planner: New Year's Weekend

Fireworks, Skating and Magic are on the agenda for this weekend.

  • Barnes and Noble in the Walpole Mall will hold a story time on Fri., Dec. 30 at 10:30 a.m. This week's featured book is "Bear Snores On" by Karma Wilson. This story time will be followed by a seasonal activity. Admission is Free.
  • presents the Joe Howard’s Magic Show on Fri., Dec. 30, at 11:00 am. Watch and be amazed as Joe the Magician puts on a spectacular show for children. This fun event will take place in the Activity Center.  Admission is Free.
  • The in Norwood will hold a Mom's Play Group every Friday morning at 9:15 a.m. Take a break from the holiday bustle and meet new moms while your child gets to run, jump and play with other children. Bring a snack for your child to enjoy while you enjoy a cup of free coffee after gym time is over. No registration is required. Admission $5.00.
  • Fireworks aren't just for Independence Day. The Westwood Recreation Department will be offering a New Year's Eve fireworks display on Sat., Dec. 31, at 7 p.m., at located at 220 Nahatan St, Westwood.  Admission is Free.
  • Winter Skate at in Foxborough is now open.  This weekend, grab your skates and take the family to the Ice Rink on Fri.  and Sat. from 11am - 11pm. and Sun. 11 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.  Admission - Adults: $8, Children 12 and under: $6,  Seniors 65 and up: $6. Ice skate rentals are $4.00.
