Grab & Go Kids Planner

Fantasy Footsteps, special storytimes and haunted houses are on the agenda for this weekend.

  • Norwood’s Backstage Boosters presents a Halloween tradition, Fantasy Footsteps, on Friday, Oct. 21 & Saturday, Oct. 22 at the , 275 Prospect St. in Norwood. Guided storybook tours for all ages will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will continue until 8:00 p.m. each evening. Skits are performed by Norwood students & proceeds go to benefit Norwood Public Schools drama programs. Admission is $5 and $4 for children under age 5.
  • Barnes and Noble in the Walpole Mall is holding a special Halloween Storytime with Curious George on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. After children read about the many adventures Curious George experiences as he prepares for Halloween, they will have the opportunity to meet him in person. Be sure to bring your camera for a photo with George. Admission is free.
  • Holliston author Jane Kohuth will visit in Medfield on Saturday at 2:00 pm. Jane will read from her book "Estie the Mensch". Jane is also the author of "Ducks Go Vroom". There may even be some yummy snacks involved. Admission is free.
  • in Medfield will be holding its Annual Open Barn on Sunday Oct. 23 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Children are invtied to meet the animals and find out more about their programs. At the same time the youth will be hosting "Fun Fall Fotos" with the animals to benefit the club. They will also be collecting non-perishable food for the 4H food drive. The barn is located on Holmquist Conservation Lands on Plain St. in Medfield. Admission is free.
  • Only a few Sunday's remain before Halloween to take your children to the Kiddie Kraze Haunted House from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Orpheum Theatre in Foxborough. Admission is $5.00.
