Meeting To Discuss Sherborn Library Expansion Plan Tonight

Note: The following is a release from the Sherborn Library.

The Sherborn Library Board of Trustees encourages the public to attend their meeting on Monday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m. on the main floor of the Sherborn Library to learn more about the Library expansion and renovation project and to see the preliminary project design.

The proposed design: 1) brings the building into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, assuring access for all residents; 2) expands space for children's services; 3) replaces the HVAC system--resulting in greater energy efficiency; and 4) upgrades technology for joining the Minuteman Library Network.

At the Annual Town Meeting on April 26, Warrant Article 12 will ask voters to approve the preliminary design for the renovation and expansion of the Library so that the Library Trustees can complete a grant application for state funding to cover up to 50% of the renovation and expansion costs.  This is a unique opportunity for the Town to receive state funding.
