Motorcycle Run To Benefit Woman Injured In Sherborn Car Accident

The run is to support Walpole resident Alexandra "Ally" Smith who suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident in Sherborn on December 28th.

The “Rally for Ally Bike Run,” a 40-mile motorcycle police-escorted charity run, will be held on Sunday, June 26. Riders and non-riders are welcome and encouraged to attend to support Walpole resident Alexandra “Ally” Smith and her family. The cost to ride or attend is $20.00 per person and includes lunch.

The run starts and ends at VFW Post 5188, located near the Eleanor Johnson Middle School on Robbins Road in Walpole. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided during rider registration, which begins at 10:30 a.m. The ride is scheduled to leave the VFW at 11:30 a.m. The route will pass through Walpole, Westwood, Dover, Sherborn, Millis, Medway, and Norfolk.

The ride will be followed by a cookout at the VFW at 2:00 p.m. Great raffle prizes include flat screen TV, grill, Budweiser Adirondack chair, $100 Harley Davidson gift certificate, local and Boston restaurant gift certificates, and much more. The Alexandra Smith Foundation was established in January 2011 to provide financial support for care services for Ally Smith as she struggles to recover from a severe traumatic brain injury.
