Kid-Friendly Fun in Dover and Sherborn

Caryl Park Playground

Looking for ways to get the kids outside? You can take your kids to the Caryl Park playground. It is located behind the historic Caryl House on Dedham Street in Dover. It cannot be seen from the road, one must venture behind the house past the tennis courts and baseball field and walk underneath the shade of trees to view and play in the playground that caters to children of all ages. 

The former Caryl Farm has three baseball fields, a soccer field, handball courts, tennis courts and hiking trails.

Parking is not available at the Caryl House, but there is plenty of parking available at the soccer field that is less than a tenth of mile before the Caryl House if coming from town center. Once in the lot, walk to the left hand side of the field and there is a walking trail to the playground.

Farm Pond 

Farm Pond is located only minutes from Sherborn's downtown area on Lake Street. It is owned and operated by the town of Sherborn. They feature a beachfront with two lifeguards.

Fishing is allowed but not when swimmers are present.

Farm Pond is open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Non-residents require stickers to enter and may enter a lottery during the month of April to receive one per family.

The Sherborn Yacht Club is located ajacent to Farm Pond.

The pond offers a safe community shared setting for people to enjoy the waterfront during the summer months.
