Patch Picks: St. Patrick's Day Destinations

This week's Patch Picks are five local Irish pubs that will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day in true form.

Looking to eat some authentic corned beef and cabbage and maybe wash it down with a Guinness or two? Here are five nearby Irish pubs that will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day today:

1. The Sherborn Inn

The band Brogue will be playing in the main dining room tonight and will be adding some Irish tunes to their repertoire. There will be a $10 cover. Once your in you can sit down and order the classic St. Patrick's Day dish corned beef and cabbage.

2. Noon Hill Grill in Medfield

The Noon Hill Grill has Irish food options aplenty including, Guinness beef stew, corned beef spring rolls, shepherds pie, corned beef and cabbage, and broiled salmon. For dessert they will have an Irish stout chocolate pudding.

Wash it all down with some green-dyed beer and a host of Irish beer selections.

3. O’Connell's Pub in Framingham

Tip back a Guinness and enjoy live music from the Irish band Hit the Bus from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Afterwards DJ Scotty O will be shuffling the tunes into the wee hours of the morning from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

4. Mick Morgans in Sharon

The newly opened restaurant on Route 1 in Sharon has a number of traditional Irish entrees featuring corned beef and cabbage, shepherds pie, Irish bangers and mash, and Irish stew. 

5. Becketts Pub & Restaurant in Walpole

This pub, named after Nobel Prize winning Irish writer and poet Samuel Barclay Beckett, will have a boiled dinner of corned beef and cabbage, along with corned beef sandwiches, and Guinness braised short ribs.
