Pet Of The Week: Meet Blackjack

Although Blackjack was found out hopping around on his own, he is clearly a domestic bunny and is very friendly. We are happy he was rescued before a coyote ate him or he was attacked by another animal. He is happily hopping around and enjoying his time out of the cage and eating his daily salads.  He gets along well with the cats he shares his room with and seems to really enjoy human attention.  Rabbits are active, gentle pets that are happiest and healthiest when they have a large clean cage, lots of play time out of their cage, and plenty of fresh hay and veggies daily. All of the Medfield Shelter's bunnies are indoor pets and would not do well outside in a hutch.
