Pet Of The Week: Meet Domino

This week's Pet of the Week is Domino!

Domino is very cute 2-year-old Guinea pig. She is black and white and has spots of long hair. She was surrendered because her family did not have enough time to care for her. Domino is very social and likes to be held. Her previous family stopped taking her out of her cage and socializing with her due to their busy schedules, so they felt she would be happier in a new home with people that loved her and interacted with her. She did live with another Guinea pig at one time and they appeared to get along fine, so she may make a nice companion for a lonely female piggie.

Guinea pigs are active, gentle, relatively low maintenance pets that love companionship, delight in cuddles and make great pets for gentle children six years old and up. Guinea pigs are happiest when they have a clean cage and lots of interactive socialization time with their person. They do require fresh hay and greens (lettuce, parsley, basil, etc.) on a daily basis.  Please call the Shelter at 508.359.8989 if you are interested in adopting Domino
