Pet Of The Week: Meet Jack

This week's pet of the week is a pooch named Jack, provided by the Medfield Animal Shelter.

Jack is a Treeing Walker Coonhound mix who is between 6 and 8 years old. Don't let the grey hair around the eyes fool you though - when given the chance he loves to run fast and could easily be mistaken for a younger dog. He is crate trained and will sit by the door when he needs to go out. Though he can handle stairs he has no interest in going upstairs in our home. He would do best in a home without young children, since he doesn't seem comfortable around them. He loves walks and hikes and does very well on the leash. Nothing makes him happier then seeing other dogs at the dog park and he has never been aggressive with any other dog. I think he might get lonely as the only pet and would enjoy being with another dog. He is curious and has a great sense of smell, so a fenced in yard would work best for him.  If provided with some excercise in the morning he will spend most of the day sleeping. He loves stuffed animals and has his favorites. He is a very good natured and sweet dog. If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application
