Severe Storms Likely for Dover-Sherborn Area Today

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for mid- to late-day Wednesday.

Days of sweltering heat could come to a head in the Dover-Sherborn area Wednesday afternoon, when the National Weather Service expects severe storms to move into the region.

With temperatures hovering in the low 90s for most of the day, storms could bring dangerous winds and possibly hail into the area this afternoon.

"Thunderstorms will begin to develop across Southern New England between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., then become more numerous as the afternoon progresses," the NWS stated in a Hazardous Weather Outlook Wednesday. "Some storms will likely contain damaging winds; large hail along with torrential downpours."
