Week In Review: Feb. 7-Feb. 13

Car accidents, new roads, and D-S sports action are what kept you tuned-in this week.

More going on in Dover and Sherborn this week.  Finally, no snow affecting the goings-on this week, but needless to say there was plenty going on.

Two men were taken to the hospital after a on Pine Street in Dover on Wednesday. Also on Wednesday, a man lost control of his truck after his brakes went out, blowing through a stop sign and crashing into a snowbank in order to stop.

A busy week at the Sherborn town offices included a of the Pine Hill Road Committee and the Sherborn Planning Board. The Planning Board asked the committee to come back to their next meeting with a smaller budget for the proposed Pine Hill Access Road.

Also in Sherborn the town selectmen stated their issues with the Sherborn Library's , including issues with additional parking and a new septic system. The Sherborn Selectmen did approve a to be discussed at the Town Meeting on April 26 and denied the approval of a new restaurant tax in town.

At the Dover Town Library, the new artist of the month for February has been on display for the  past couple weeks.   Laurie Leavitt's display of sharp-colored oil paintings is a must-see at the library this month.

In sports this week, D-S athletics were in full-swing. Three D-S soccer standouts committed to soccer teams this week. Patch sat down with Dover-Sherborn's new varsity football coach who hopes to bring a strong program to the Raiders football team. In the last D-S boys hockey game they rival Medfield, 6-6, in thrilling fashion.
