Patriots training camp, a dance-off and Shakespeare in the Park on the calendar this weekend.

The weekend is just around the corner. If the only plans you have are not to stay home because lounging on the couch and watching TV just don’t cut it anymore, then don't worry, Dover-Sherborn Patch is here to assist you! Check out our list of suggestions of events to attend, places to go, sites to see– all within driving distance of home. 

1. Patriots Experience and Patriots Training Camp

Where/When: , 2 Patriot Pl, Foxborough; Friday, July 29, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Patriots Experience); Friday, July 29, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. (Patriots Training Camp)

Why Go: The Patriots Experience is an interactive park featuring skill competition, face paintings and appearances by Patriot Cheerleaders. The New England Patriots will hold their second day of practice during the team’s 2011 Training Camp Practices today. Both sessions are unpadded practices. 2. The Prince vs. Michael Jackson Experience at Showcase Live

Where/When: 23 Patriot Pl, Foxborough, (Showcase Live); Saturday, July 30, 8 p.m.

Why Go: Prince and Michael Jackson fans go toe-to-toe on the dance floor as DJ Dave Paul (Bomb Hip-Hop/San Francisco) mixes album cuts, remixes, rare tracks and hits from the two artists as well as cuts by such ancillary acts as Sheila E., The Jackson 5, The Time and Janet Jackson. Limited seating available.  Seating is first come first seated basis, so be sure to arrive early for best seats and enjoy a full dinner menu.

Doors open at 7:30 pm for 8:00 pm showtime.

3. The Gazebo Players Presents: The Comedy of Errors

Where/When: Medfield Public Library, 468 Main St., Medfield; Saturday, July 30, Sunday, July 31, 5 p.m.

Why Go: The Gazebo Players of Medfield will be back again this summer for their 10th annual Shakespeare in the Park production. This year’s show is The Comedy of Errors, a farce involving two sets of identical twins and a seemingly endless stream of mistaken identities. Performances at the Gazebo in Medfield will be given on July 30 and 31. Performances at the Music Court at Bird Park in Walpole will be given on August 6 and 7. In case of rain, the Medfield performances will be at the Montrose School (29 North Street), and the Walpole performances will be at the Walpole Footlighters (5 Scout Road). 4. Sherborn Library Holds Special Storytime at the Natick Organic Farm

When/Where: 117 Eliot St, Natick (Natick Organic Community Farm); Saturday, July 29, 11 a.m.

Why Go: The Sherborn Library will have a special storytime at the Natick Organic Community Farm, 117 Eliot Street, Natick, today at 11 am. Listen to stories and visit the farm.

5. Dublin City Ramblers Concert

Where/When: 200 New Boston Dr., Canton; Friday, July 29, 8 to 11 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy a great outdoor concert with some of Ireland's best music as the Irish Culture welcomes back the Dublin City Ramblers, Ireland's best ballad and folk group to perform on Saturday at the Irish Cultural Centre. Tickets are $20 for ICC Members and $25 for General Admission.
