Hear about the latest eye research

The Sherborn Lions Club is hosting a presentation by renowned ophthalmologist Dr. Tim Murtha from the William P. Beetham Eye Institute. Dr. Murtha will speak about treatment and new advances in areas such as diabetic retinopathy and cataracts. He'll also discuss the important new clinical merger with Mass Eye and Ear Clinic.


Part of Boston's famous Joslin Clinic, the Beetham Eye Institute is a world leader in clinical care and research for people with diabetes-related eye disease or at risk of these conditions. Recognized as one of the area’s best eye care and eye research facilities, the Beetham Eye Institute pioneered laser surgery for diabetic retinopathy.

To be held at 6:30pm, Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Sherborn Inn, the presentation is part of an exciting panel of presenters that the Sherborn Lions Club has lined up for the coming year.
