Janet
Comiskey-Giannini, Caryl House Curator,
extends an invitation to all to
“find joy in the fellowship of friends and in the magic of music and carols”. Caryl House
will be decorated for the season with beautiful arrangements of greens and flowers at this
festive, looked-forward-to event.
Period refreshments will be served.
All
interested residents of Dover and surrounding towns are invited to come
“see” Caryl House all decorated for the
holidays and visit with friends and neighbors. It
is not necessary to make reservations.
Caryl
House, built around 1777, was the home
of the Reverend Benjamin Caryl,
first minister of Springfield
Parish, now Dover. It is furnished to
show how Rev. Caryl and his family lived in the 18th Century
following the American Revolution. It is one of three Dover museums operated by
the Dover Historical Society.
