Sherborn Fire and Rescue to Host July 4th Celebration

A day filled with activity will begin at 9 a.m. and run through 5:30 p.m.

For residents in the Dover-Sherborn area that don't intend to stray far this Independence Day, The will be hosting multiple July 4th festivities on Wednesday.

Field events will include activities for folks of all ages, such as a three-legged race, soccer kick, softball throw and a "greased pole" event will take place at Laurel Field beginning at 9 a.m.

A family-related event will also be available, during which families compete using fire-fighting hoses and bunker gear at Jameson Field starting at 2 p.m.

Festivities for the day will culminate with a refreshing fire truck ride through town starting at 5:30 p.m.
