Weekend Planner: March 9 - 11

Theatre, music and fashion are on the calendar this weekend.

The weekend is just around the corner. If the only plans you have is not to stay home because lounging on the couch and watching TV just isn't cutting it anymore, then don't worry, D-S Patch is here to assist you! Check out our list of suggestions of events to attend, places to go, sites to see – all within driving distance of home. 

1. Medfield HS Theatre Society Presents "Into the Woods"

Where/When: , 88 r South St., Medfield, MA; Fri., March 9, 7 p.m., Sat., March 10, 7:00 p.m. and Sun., March 11, 2:00 p.m.

Why Go: The acclaimed musical classic,"Into the Woods", shares how a true ending to a fairy tale would be like if you combined Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, and Rapunzel all in one show. Music & lyrics by Stephen Sounheim.

2. TKLS Perspective, to Perform at Perks Coffeehouse

Where/When: , 685 Washington St., Norwood; Fri., March 9, 8 p.m.

Why Go:  Jazz Quintet, The TKLS Perspective, will perform a mixture of jazz, swing and hip-hop.

Pricing: Free, Open to all.

3. Learn to grow more with Hydroponic Gardening

Where/When: Sustainable Construction Services, 35 Woodland St., Sherborn; Sat., March 10, 11 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Why Go: Learn about how to grow your own vegetables year round with Hydroponics. Sustainable Construction will host a Lecture and demonstration by Harvest Moon Hydroponics. All are welcome.  For more information http://www.scsiboston.com

4. Emmanuel Lutheran Church Fireside Coffee House Music

Where/When: , 24 Berwick St, Norwood; Sun., March 11, 2:00 p.m.

Why Go: The fireside coffeehouse features acoustic music from a collection of Boston-area musical duos and trios. The format is an open mike plus a half hour feature from a selected duo or trio.  This afternoon open mike will feature musical duos and trios featuring Steve Gretz and Leslie Lee.  Refreshments will be provided.

Pricing: A $5 donation at the door goes to a church music fund. 

5. St. Theresa Hosts Fashion Show

Where/When: , 35 South Main St., Sherborn; Sun., March 11 at 4:00 p.m.

Why Go: St. Theresa will host a benefit fashion show featuring the collection of Lyn Evans/Potpourri Designs in the Parish Center at 4:00 p.m. All proceeds will benefit St. Theresa Church.

Pricing: Tickets are $25.00 and are available at the parish office.
