DS BOYS VARSITY SOCCER TRIUMPS OVER WESTWOOD

DS boys win over westwood

The boys had their biggest challenge last evening to rise up
and beat the first place team.  Westwood
has only had one loss this season and that was to DS back in the first game of
the season; since then Westwood has beat every team in the league.  It appeared that they were going to win again
last night.  They scored their one and
only goal in the first half.  DS remained
scoreless through most of the second half and with 13 minutes left in the game
Sr. Capt. Steven Aston scored a header goal off a corner kick from Sr. Capt.
Walker Littlehale.   The game was tied
and the fans were thrilled to go home with a tie but not the team, rejuvenated by
the goal they were able to capitalize and with six minutes left on the score
board a beautiful cross by Sr. Capt. Sean Forward to Walker who headed the
winning goal into the net.  Final score
DS 2 – Westwood 1.   The game was intense and a VERY big win for the team.
