Pet of the Week: JoJo

This week's pet of the week is a pooch named JoJo.

JoJo is a very sweet and energetic 4 year old Lab mix. She is a typical Lab in that she lives for food and walks. Her previous owner said she used to share her toast with Jojo every morning and Jojo could smell chicken from across the room. She weighs 70 lbs., but is a bit overweight, so she is getting lots of exercise to help her get in shape for spring. Jojo was adopted when she was one year old by grandparents caring full time for their grandchildren and she lived with them for 3 years and was a loving dog who adored her young children and was extremely gentle with them. Jojo is a wonderful dog but she loves to run and because she has not had any obedience training, when she gets loose she likes to go for jaunts chasing squirrels and having fun and she does not come back. This caused problems since the kids were not careful about leaving doors open and Jojo escaped a number of times. Jojo is spayed and current on her vaccines and is ready to be adopted to a family that is willing to take her to basic obedience training. A fenced in yard would be ideal since that would give her a chance to run while staying safe. We want her next home to commit to her 100% and be her forever home.  Please call the Shelter at 508.359.8989 or email us at info@medfieldshelter.com if you are interested in meeting Jojo.
